Brrrrr. . . . it was cold this morning at 6 am, but I just did an easy 35 minute run for my pre-meet. It was dark at first, but the sun started to rise as we were doing starts out on the track. Tomorrow I will be running the 1500m and the 800m races. Sixty-two girls are running in just the 1500m. It is going to be a very long day. I am excited to run especially since the weather will be nice (60 degrees and sunny). Today August and I are making dinner together (on skype) and I’m excited about that! Other than that it was a pretty easy exercise day. I also did some rope stretching and rolled out my hamstrings, quads, and IT band. 8 out 10. . .because I’m excited about tomorrow:)

Today I ran a 10 k ..  I used 58 minutes during my run.  The end part of it was up hill.  My legs started to burn from the lactic acid but I got over it quickly.  The run was nice but my knees started to hurt on the way back.  This could be due to running on the road all the time.  So I have to watch myself.

I had an early morning practice today.  The cool air hit me as soon as I walked out of my apartment and I knew it was going to be struggle to get through practice.  Anyways I got there to see the workout posted on the wall, hoping it would be about 5.5 miles total, but it was 7.5.  Once I started to roll-out and warm-up I felt a little more awake and ready to go.  The run starts.  It is cold and very dark at 6 am in the morning (well at least this morning).  After the 1.5 mile warm-up jaunt we head into hill charges (6) and then it’s onto the track for a 3200m.  Once the 3200m is finished then it’s 2 more miles out on the road.  By this time I’m definitely warmed up and the sun is starting to shine which brings a smile to my face:)  I also have been thinking about August the whole run:):):) this makes me smile always.  It is already April and I hope the time will continue to move fast.  Looking forward to Leadville:)
